The Old Miss
December 5, 2009 — The decidedly underwhelming Mississippi River between Iowa and Illinois at least invokes this funny quote from Clark W. Griswold (Chevy Chase) in the movie, Vacation: "That's the Mississippi... The mighty Mississip... The Old Miss... The Old Man... [sings] Deep River, my home is over Jordan..."
