February 2005 Skiing Archive

February 13, 2005

BRISTOL MOUNTAIN, NY — Clear skies, cool temperatures and decent conditions. I couldn't ask for much more (well, I could, but I won't right now). Skied pretty well, and the mountain was basically empty so I skied a lot of runs in a short period of time.

Excellent Ski Day

BRISTOL MOUNTAIN, NY — The temperature was quite balmy today (~ 30 F), and the skies were basically clear. I headed down to Bristol after work. The conditions were excellent. I skied pretty well, although I was a little fatigued. I stayed for two hours (about a dozen runs), which is basically a record for me when I'm skiing by myself. Bristol's only 1,200 feet and they have a high-speed quad, so you can ski quite a bit in a very short period of time. In any case, it was simply an excellent ski day.
